What’s the deal with this? Game is in 7 months and we don’t have a location set yet. Is this actually going to be a neutral site game? Anyone have insight into this?

I threw out the big E fairgrounds, they’ll have to rent some bleachers and start planting grass if they want it ready in 7 months

Well, I don't know what the issue is with the venue, but UCONN needs to own Umass......and one of the initial steps to establishing a strong football program will be regional dominance and yes, that includes our friends in Chestnut Hill. BC athletics is reeling UCONN is in a position to catch and surpass BC football even with the unlevel playing field from conference alignment.

two of my football coaches at Weaver High School played for them: Ernie Colquette & Phil Kearney - two very tough guys

Looks like Johnny Unitas. Players from that era were tough. I love the story of Unitas breaking his nose and grabbing a bunch of mud to stop the bleeding. One of his lineman almost vomited watching this.

Bob Pierce. A big 224lb back who returned kicks also. Long time educator and coach at Plainville high and a stand up man if there ever was one.

Hartford Knights and the Charter Oaks great football teams. My partners 64 Galaxy500 had a styrofoam football with I believe Hartford Knights that was on the radio antenna.

I think Bill Savitt owned them, if I read correctly.

If I remember correctly, the Hartford Knights had an undefeated championship season the same year the Miami Dolphins had theirs.

I went to a game when the Knights played The King and Pottstown but not that Final. My main memory is my father moaning about the cost of parking.
