He would be a grad transfer now, right? Does that impact his ability to transfer without sitting a year?
According to VC, Nolley is immediately eligible:

The "Yes" is under their "immediately eligible" column.

In unrelated news, VCU now brings in three top-100 prospects next season: two in the '22 class and...

This is an interesting one…

6’8” “point guard” who played 2 seasons at Arizona before transferring to Boise State.

He shot 38% from 3 last year (55-142) and is a 36% career 3 point shooter.

However, he shot 59% from the FT line last year where he is 58% in his career.

A/TO ratio not great either.

His shooting numbers scare me a bit (but then again, Purvis could hit the 3 but couldn’t shoot FTs) but his size is very impressive.

I like watching Boise State and try to get a few games each of the last few seasons. Akot continues the tradition of Derrick Alston Jr. of point-forwards at Boise State.

Emmanuel Akot is a 6'8 210 grad transfer who averaged 10.6p, 3.1r, 2.8a, 2.4 to, 38.7 3p% with about half of his shots from three. From the games I watched, he's got good athleticism for his size and he's got a decent post game too.

Interesting offensive player. However, his lack of defensive stats is a bit concerning (0.7 steals, 0.4 blocks) but on the bright side Boise State was a top-20 defense this season.

Well put together young man. Has not missed any days in the weight room. Weird how he rarely he imposes his will using his size.

All 4 years he's had an ORTG under 100 (aka below average). That's hard to do when you shoot 38% from 3.

His team's offense was slightly better with him off the court this year. However, their defense was significantly better. Last year similar but smaller effect.

When do we think we start hearing about potential transfers coming here? Next week or so?

This guy looks great. His stats are impeccable other than 3pt this year, but if wrist injury is true, that makes sense (hit 36% in conf play, 42% year before in limited attempts, 84% from FT line in conf play, 79% career).

He's not a volume shooter from 3, but they'd respect him. His 2pt finishing is impressive for his size. 58% at rim compared to 52% for Cole (and Cole's numbers at Howard were similar so not a mid-major vs. high major thing). Strong assist rate, tolerable turnover rate. Decent athletic indicators.

3 years remaining.

Anyone else get the feeling that Hurley is almost using this opportunity to get bigger across the board? The only guards we've really been connected to are Courtney Ramey (6'3") and Tristen Newton (6'5"), and haven't been in contact with Pack or Sears who are both 6 foot.

More on Bonham:

6'0 170 with three more years of eligibility. 13.6p, 4.4r, 4a, 2.2to, 1.3s. Career 54.7 2p%, 36.9 3p% (1/3 shots are from three) abd 79.2 ft% with 4.2 ftas last season, good for 189th in the nation. I also like how he's a SoCon kid, a very good mid-major conference.

VMI is a weird team, though. 1st in nation in 3PA ratio...an all offense (45th in efficiency), no defense (316th in efficiency) team.

Certainly possible. A school like us should be able to be picky about something like that, although obviously we want the best players overall.

Reminds me of this scene from Silicon Valley

Our top priority is to find the best PG available. But it would be better if that PG was also taller.

So if we think we're looking for a pure point and a big guard, this could be the guy. He's a minutes eater. 35% from 3 this past season, career 36.5%. His turnovers are a little high, but his assist rate is even higher proportionally. Free throw shooting is a bit of a concern, so I doubt he ever becomes a sniper. Just have to get him to ditch the midrange game, he's very much not good at it. On/off stats are well-rounded, positive impact on both sides of the ball. Just seems like a real solid player with exceptional passing.

Former top 100 recruit. Big guard that can pass, but also inefficient gunner with no 3pt shot.

No clue who this guy is but this is interesting. Now they have two lead guards who both shoot 20% from 3 lol
