His highlight reel looks awfully similar to Sanogo's...Maybe the NCAA Tournament MOP should give him a call ;)
I was thinking the same thing. A little baby deerish, but a S&C program to help with his strength and natural maturity will get him right there.

His defense looks more advanced (at this age) than AS at this age.. Obviously is taller than AS which makes the difference in shot blocking more of a weapon.. Real nice footwork on O to get in position to get his shots off

@FriarJ we were happy for you when you guys had your dream season a couple years ago. Why can’t you be happy for us that we’re in a place now where is hard fathom a rationale for a recruit going to pc when UConn is an option.
Where has he been:)

It's always heartening to see Catholic school fans gratuitously throwing out -bombs............
Sorry, I couldn't resist. A friend (PC fan) told me he's heard lots of good things about English and we'll find out soon enough just how good he'll be.

Being too short was likely the difference between Sanogo being drafted in the 2nd round and going undrafted.

Ngongba is a legit 6’10”, right? Let him cook in the School of Dan Hurley for a couple years and he’ll be a first rounder

He’s looking at UConn, Kansas, Indiana and Duke. No brainer thanks to the dairy bar.

SnC (in college) will help with his lift/explosion.. Playing vs HS comp can make it easy for a big guy due to their size advantage.. Prime time D-1 comp vs athletic Bigs is different..

I think “similar gameplay” is the only thing you’re allowed to say on here until he commits to UConn and wins a national championship as an all time great. Then, and only then, you are allowed to compare…lol.

Also not a bad example to show recruits who happen to possess a similar gameplay.

Sanogo would’ve been drafted if he was a couple inches taller. Hopefully that sells with Ngongba.

I think winning a National Championship and our center being the MOP sells itself.

Clingan is also about to be a top 10 draft pick. Ngongba shouldn’t have to worry about Hurley’s ability to get kids into the NBA. 2 lottery picks in the last 3 years, and that number is about to double after Castle and Clingan go in the 2024 draft. If he doesn’t come here, it ain’t because of our system, program pedigree, or coaching staff.

But, to be fair, Providence really had a good a shot as anyone for Davis. Well anyone but Overtime Elite apparently.

Why are people still doing this? Overtime Elite is like a high school in this case. It changes nothing about Davis’s commitment to Providence.

It also has absolutely nothing to do with Patrick Ngongba.
It’s insane. Not to mention we literally have a guy on our team (Singare) who played in the Overtime Elite League last year.
