I can understand that one if someone wanted the one-and-done and the different type of vaccine than the type being used in both Moderna and Pfizer.

I wouldn't make a deal out of it, but I can understand why it would matter to some people. It would be ludicrous to care as between Moderna and Pfizer though.

That's honestly where I am. I'm probably at risk enough to take any of them, but my 18 year old daughter? Would really only want J&J for her. Simply do not trust the long term impact of mRNA therapies in humans, which have never been studied.

I’m 24 hours in from Pfizer shot yesterday and feel great. Iced my shoulder all night, Tylenol every 6 hours. I’ve got a 1pm tee time at Richter.

My Covid arm is practically gone after getting it on the 8th day. I iced it for 10 minutes on the 8th day. Just a small rash but all good. This is after the first shot of Moderna.

Please don't be alarmed with a delayed reaction (Covid arm). It will go away.

Almost 48 hours since my first pfizer shot. Yesterday I had just a slight discomfort in my arm and back of my neck but nothing else. Feel fine today.

My my wife’s Pulmonary Specialist
told us the both the Pfizer and Moderna are effective against all currently known strains two weeks after your second shot .
She also said she wouldn’t give her teenagers either . But she would give them the JJ. The good news my wife has completed the 2 weeks post vaccination period and is now at max immunity. The bad news is she has a list of stores she wants to go to.
AZ has opened vaccination to everyone 18 and over. They ran out of older volunteers.
The biggest problem now is getting the reluctant population to get vaccinated.
There are 220 million adults
Depending on race the statistics for vaccination acceptance is between 65% to 75% .That’s actually a higher figure than flu .
In any project there are operations that have to be overcome
If I were running this project
PR snd Advertising are required to overcome the next big obstacle to voluntary vaccination
I’m sorry I was a logistics guru in another life and we never think now we think next.

I think he was being sarcastic. That said, I don't think that 30 years is correct. Clinical trials on the mRNA cancer treatments started in 2011, and they haven't been approved by the FDA yet. They used that same platform for this, which is why it was so fast.

Got my 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine yesterday. Definitely tired and a bit achy today. 99.5° temperature too. The nurse told me to expect this though and try to power through without taking anything. Still better than having COVID!

Mau, just got home from Richter. I don't think I could have had a better time with 3 lifelong buddies I've seen maybe twice since lockdown.

Sun, wind, cocktails, two tins of Kodiak and some medicinal glaucoma products. Mix in some competitive golf and today hit my Top 10 days of all time.

Course is in great shape for this time of year. A few soggy spots where they usually are anyway, cart path only and greens true but still spotty and sandy. Needed an extra club on most shots due to winds and finding plugged balls, even in some fairways, was a problem. Winter rules still for sure but still a really fun round.

We all deserve to have a "light at the end of the tunnel" day like I just had and I encourage others to share theirs. Golf not required.

I had both Pfizer shots with the second one on March 19.

I hope the vast, vast majority will get vaccinated.

I've had good experiences both Community Health Centers where I've gotten the vaccine.

My first dose was in the Stamford CHC. Brand new building, sparkling clean and despite my initial anxiety, it was actually relaxing to go through the process. Everyone was super helpful and kind.

My second dose was in the Danbury CHC, which is right in downtown. Like the Stamford location, everyone was super nice and everything was well organized.

Bottom line, the men and women who are helping with the vaccine are all super helpful and kind people. It's amazing what science and general humanity has been able to shine throughout this process. It's not easy, but it's good to see the vaccination rates are steady. 90% by August? Incredibly promising news.

My "light at the end of the tunnel" moment was walking the promenade at Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, right on the Upper Hudson Bay.
