According to Sagarin, UT is stronger than their record would suggest, but still should lose to the LVs by 8

It's been a week since the last game. I am ready to see Tennessee play a game.

I can't find a live stream; broadcast on Fox Sports South
Can listen live from Texas or UTenn perspective.
Anyone find a stream?

Hopefully they will be on national TV soon. I'd like to see TN play.

Interesting starting lineup Russell starts. Graves didn't start this game.

Hmmm LV's up 1 at half at home against the mighty Longhorns.......sounds like another 20 mins of great offensive execution!

Oh wait --- per Holly, they don't really practice offense. lol

:p

If you have access to DirecTv the game is being broadcast on SunHD (Fox) channel 653. At the half it is 28-27 Tennessee.

Another impressive 20 minutes of "basketball" from the LV's...just soooo many reasons to be excited about the short and long-term prospects of this team/program that I don't have room to list them all.....................NOT!!!!!!!!

Man is Russell slow up the court. If it is not in transition there is virtually no offense for UT . This is Texas we are looking at. 4 points with 8 to play. Zone is the way to beat UT.

5 min left, Texas just imploded for the last 3 minutes with bad passes and turnovers. 11-0 run for UT.
65 to 52 Texas with 19 TO.

Very unimpressive game. Is there a prize for the most missed layups?

As badly as UTenn looks, they are ranked #3
they'll prob keep their ranking unless someone beats them.

Who?
ND, Stanford, Kentucky?

The implications for the NCAA's are:

If we handle Duke…really Notre Dame is the only legitimate opponent left
(at this early point of the season).

That's just wrong...not a big ND fan, but they should clearly be ranked ahead of Tenn. They have advanced to the FF and trounced the LV's the last three years, plus have been much more impressive in their games to-date this season. To me, the LV's are the Ohio State Buckeyes FB team of WCB...they have an impressive record, but they win a lot of close games against average teams and really do not have any signature wins to brag about.

Very well put and I agree wholeheartedly with you rational. At best the vols should be around 6th or 7th. They have no signature victories in over 4 years and continue to struggle against far inferior talent such as Texas. We will not even mention some of the other monumental blunder in seasons past.

I think Texas is a better team this year. They led Stanford at half before losing 63-54. As for this game it was a battle I thought Tennessee closed out the game pretty good after it was 54-50.

She did play good. Only took one shot and made free throws. I think it was part of it Harrison played great.

Look Cat, I don't make the rankings…I'm wrong? Check them out.
I think my post insinuated what you said.
But
Someone has to beat LV's

That's a low hurdle. They were 12–18 last year, one of their worst all time performances.

Let me amend that. Not just one of the worst, THE all-time worst year. (They had two other years with only 12 wins, but 18 losses is an all-time record, surpassing the previous worst of 16.

Seriously?

You can't be THAT much of a homer that you think she played good.

HS player of the year, 13 minutes, 2 points on 2 FT's. No blocks.

What happened to Fussel from TX? You would expect a senior to be in tip top shape and she looks far from it

. . . Someone has to beat LV's

Stanford will probably beat them at Maples. Notre Dame surely will when they
come to TBA. And there will likely be a slip-up or two in conference play.
