Do they work? Recs? Installed a spotlight cam for our backyard and the signal isn’t great.

Installed Eero which I’m pretty sure is the Amazon brand. Works great at my house. We have virtually no cell service so needed better coverage for WiFi calling

I concur on the mesh system. I replaced an extender with the mesh. Muuuuch better. And most support 2.4 and 5 so u don’t need to manage separate networks. Got Tyler Phommachanh link Deco. Works great

Yep, mesh network. I use the google home mesh, simple to install and works great. Seamless and even WiFi throughout the house.

I bought a NetGear range extender…and the very next day returned it and bought an eero set. Mesh network is the way to go.

I second the Orbi Mesh network. I have two satellites and never have any issues.

Went from Netgear (smaller size) to a larger size ASUS with better square foot coverage along with a Netgear power line extender that I already had before the mesh craze.

Mesh system is the way to go. I have been using Ubiquiti for a few years now. Great system and not an eye sore like some systems.

I have these got them from costco they best but if you don't play video games or a wife that streams in 4k you don't need to spend this much the google mesh system will do.

I have orbi mesh too. A complete gamechanger after the brutality of using extenders for years.

Orbi Mesh is solid. Cablevision technician actually recommended it when he came over for a service appointment a while back.

Extenders don't work IMO, last year I shelled out for Google Nest with 2 nodes to create the mesh and we've had zero buffering issues since.

We have an old Linxsys system and a small place and I couldn't get my Anova Precision Oven to connect to the wifi. A $30 extender did the trick.

'How does a mesh system work? Does it connect to an existing router, or does it replace an existing router?

Sometimes. If you have a combined modem/router from your ISP you probably need to connect that one of the mesh nodes. If you have a separate modem, then no router needed.

My TV also required certain features of the ISP's router, but still only 1 wifi network.

Yes, they can replace the existing router. Or you can hard wire it to the existing router if you want more plug in spots..but don't use the same name for both networks My non technical view is that Mesh networks bounce the wifi off all the nodes in the network to create one big network...diff than boosters that create sub networks.

I have this one and love it...ALL of my online issues went way immediately. Super easy to install. About $100 8 months ago
