You already know how I roll....

edit: looking at the matchups.. this will be the Big 10's best chance to ever win the challenge. The ACC might get swept the first day

I dunno, but they did a pretty job considering they were decided before the season and how closely the matchups of ranked teams turned out.

Projected order of finish...... but they try to avoid rematches from the previous year if possible. Its supposed to be set up that if you played a home game one year.. the next year you get an away game..... but Duke played a road game last year... and this year.

The Pitt-Penn State game is certainly the lowlight game. Penn State got the best player out of Pittsburgh in quite a few years in Makenna Marisa, but she hasn't exactly been lighting it up. Should be a slugfest, but Penn State should win.

I was thinking that exact same thing but PSU has a quality new coach so expect them to prevail. Will Pitt ever be good at ANYTHING ever again? Seems like forever for me to remember some sport that they did really well at over an extended period.

Pitt has a great volleyball team, FWIW. Just finished regular season 29-1 but got completely hosed by the selection committee, denied a top-4 seed which carries regional hosting privileges. Unlike in basketball, Big Ten volleyball is royalty and the ACC is considered second-class.

McConnell-Serio looked to be a solid hire after her campaign down the road at Duquesne, then she brought in a solid recruiting class in 2014. Made I believe the second round of the NCAA Tournament and then it had been disastrous ever since. The best player in the class didn't even qualify for school, Sasha Carey left for Rutgers, Yacine Diop transferred to Louisville, and we still have Aysia Bugg who has been having a solid sixth year.

Pitt is not an easy school to recruit to. In the ACC, its academics are average and the campus has to be near the bottom if not the bottom. A decent 2020 class by Pitt standards.

Volleyball has been terrific. I was at the Penn State game and the crowd was terrific.

They hired the biggest name soccer coaches that they could reasonably hire and both teams are on an upwards trend. At first, I was definitely annoyed at their addition to conference based on athletic performance, but they appear to have a plan to improve. Their men's soccer program was truly awful when they first joined the conference, but they had a great season this year. If they need to make a change in women's basketball in the next few years, I would expect an aggressive effort to hire a good coach.

LOL! I''ve called up 4 different threads tonight and each one features this!
In all fairness, today featured two of this year's worst teams in the ACC (BC and Clemson) and none of the worst teams of the Big Ten. I'd say that Illinois, Penn State and Wisconsin are the caboose of the Big Ten, and all are in action tomorrow. All of the ACC representatives in action tomorrow are competent to strong, with the exception of Virginia.

But hey, who decided that Wake Forest wouldn't play in the challenge? That should get calculated as an automatic loss by the ACC :p

I had a bad feeling about the matchups..... Miami has been a disappointment...Duke cant beat a P5 opponent on the road with the exception of Wake Forest, Clemson has looked like the old Clemson, BC is BC, and ND has struggled. I was hoping for a few upsets... but alas .. it wasnt meant to be.

That shirt.... I wont comment until the tomorrow night.... Im keeping hope alive.

UNC over Illinois gives ACC their first win.
But then Rutgers over Virginia makes it 6-1. Big Ten needs only one more to clinch at least a tie.

But ACC is doing well in most of the other games, except for Penn State-Pitt.

How is Louisville losing to Ohio State doing well?
