Assuming DePaul doesn't go bananas to end the game, looks like PC in the 4-5 game. Coin flip on who is the four and who the five I believe.

Huge win on the road against a quality team. Starters all came up big. Defense was tremendous and the effort was high start to finish. It sends a message to the league and hopefully the committee. Thoroughly jobbed by the refs in the second half but they didn’t let it affect their composure. This team is maturing.
Even Dan Hurley kept his composure with the refs and it rubbed off on the team. Should put that narrative to rest for a bit

Karaban with 16/6/4 with 4 blocks on 75% shooting. 1 TO. No hesitation to put the game away at the line. Dagger before the halftime buzzer.

When is the last time we had a freshman this poised in the biggest moments?
I think you have to go back many years to when Calhoun was coaching. Ben Gordon?

Really impressive by a convincing win over a good Nova squad on the road.

Great to see Hawk bounced back, ice in the vein at the end of game.

AJax played in the flow of the game, did what he does best. oh, 3 points shot fell for him as a reward!

But this has locked conference freshmen of the year for this young man:

Alex Karaban stats:

Points: 16

FG 6-8

Rebounds: 6

Assists:4

Blocks: 3

Steal: 1

Sanogo was +18 and Clingan was -8. I know it’s a bad matchup for Clingan and he has outdone Sanogo on +/- in other games, but games like this are why Sanogo gets so many more minutes, end of story. He’s a more versatile matchup with most teams. Clingan will get much better next year as he improves his lateral quickness and perimeter D
