Whew! Thank the Lord she's a shooting guard. We've had enough of those none shooting ones.

Loved the PBP on that video. The young lady needs some coaching, but she has good pre-game intel, and tons of enthusiasm. Reminds me of day one with my former students.

Mikayla Coombs (#3 in black) and Wesleyan's game from Thursday against Holy Innocents.

Though Mikayla has described herself as a "shooting guard", I see her as the principal backup point guard to Crystal Dangerfield next year.

Mikayla can be a backup point guard and still be a scorer like Sue Bird!

Don't know how they go about selecting numbers at UConn............do the coaches say "hmmmmm she looks like a 21 to me" or do the players put in a request........is there a hierarchy as to whom get first dibs? I know how they do it at my daughters school..........you get what you get and you don't get upset............

as to the minutes question.............from what I have seen from Ms. Walker, she can play either guard spot or small forward with ease so I guess she could replace Nurse, Dangerfield, KLS and perhaps Gabby depending on the size of the opposing lineup.................if she takes 5 minutes a game from three or four of them that should allow them to rest and allow her to do some damage.............
