These non-conference games are crucial for NCAA tournament qualification. While HE games are the #1 priority, these are #1a.

I am more interested in the Hockey East Tournament. Let’s win a round in the Hockey East tournament before we concern ourselves with the ncaa tournament. Maybe win a round in HE this year, two rounds the following year, then make a push for the HE final four in Boston say in the next 5-6 years. UConn on the right track.
