What's the decade range? Because if basketball and including mens/womens, I'd go:
Uconn
Duke
UNC
Kentucky
Kansas
Indiana
UCLA

If I was ever going to write a post where I'd list Duke #1, I wouldn't write it.
I dislike Duke just as much as the next guy but they are number #1 in brand.

Try again and use 1985 as the starting point.

I have a career, a house, two children and wasn’t alive when the last Indiana championship happened. I certainly can put Kansas and not Indiana.
Also their color is red, not blue. Bam, disqualified. (Also nobody cares about Indiana and their last coaching hires have been seriously underwhelming, which is a further mark against them.)

UCLA? The one coached by Mick Cronin, who was like their 10th choice? That UCLA?

A more accurate numbering. If you think Kentucky is too low, I didn't put any value on wins before Sputnik.

5 titles- still a blue blood. You can't put Kansas on there but not Indiana.
Yeah. But Kansas has done something recently and is usually in the hunt. Indiana hasn’t played for a Big 10 tournament title since that was established in 1998. In a sense, it’s almost lIke UConn is their replacement. Indiana’s last championship was 1987, around the time UConn began its rise. Last Championship game appearance was 2002. Since 2002, they have 3 round of 16 appearances, most recently in 2016. They are closer to Providence than they are to UConn these days.

Why not
Because it is the most imbecilic thing you could ever talk about?

But since that is YOUR brand, feel free to proceed.

Pretty accurate if we are being honest with ourselves. I also think there are some distinctive lines when it comes to "Brand." You can mix the top 4 in any order really. I think UCLA as a brand is close enough to us to be in our level but neither is near the top 4 and Indiana is clinging to life.

1. Duke
2. Kansas
3. UNC
4. Kentucky
-------------
5. UConn
6. UCLA
-------------
7. Indiana

6 titles in 26 years, including back to back, we're the very best modern day program

Only Dook has won all their titles in the modern era format. And they have 5, and none in the last two years

I care a lot less about segregation era titles that happen to start in the Sweet Sixteen. And players had to stay 4 years

So much more impressive to win today

AND WE'RE NOT BLUE BLOOD, that's for the has beens, WE'RE BLUE COLLAR
