If UCONN advances and beats Creighton in the semis, they swap seeds with the Bluejays. Would think a 6 seed is a lock if they win the BE tourney.

Making sure that there can't be 3 Big East teams in the Final Four again, eh?

Isn't there something that prohibits match-ups against same conference members until later rounds by putting them in different brackets? Obviously this cannot apply when a conference has more than 4 bids, but I always thought there was some kind of balancing mechanism.

To be fair, this is just Jerry Palm filling in the slots. Perhaps the actual committee will take some of these considerations seriously.

Hope we get a 7 or 10 seed over the 8-9 seed if we cant get a 6 seed.

i'd take an 11 over a 8/9 as long as it's not a play in game. having said that i think we are clear of the 8/9 slots at this point (assuming we win our first game in the BET knock on wood)
