In the weight room

Just wow on all the players - Yanna with the pull ups, Lou with the squats, Lou, Paige and Yanna with the clean and jerks (I think that's what they are called - who was the first one? Not Aubrey - maybe Ice?). Was that Aubrey working with the dumbbell? Holy crap that is an intense workout!

Lou can lift 45 lbs? It's the same as Patterson. And Paige only lifted 25. They have similar body type but it seems that Lou is much stronger.

Plus she barely moved her feet.

Actually the bar itself weighs about 45 pounds. With 25 pounds on each end Paige was lifting 95 pounds while Lou was lifting 135 pounds, the same as Ice and Ayanna. Neither Ice or Ayanna's technique though were nearly as good as Lou's. Hers was superb.

My college is up in the mountains and trail running is a thing here. A few years back I had an athletic student who would run the peaks at the north end of campus, around 3000 ft elevation, every morning. She’d come into my math class fresh from a run and do 20 pull-ups from the door frame. She really reminds me of Ayanna — a motor that just doesn’t stop.

No attack Rocky, love your love of the team. Just a reply.... ;) Early on it was locally only just prior to Title 19 or there about. I had watched women's games for free at the Civic Center as long as you had a ticket for the men's game to follow.

Along came CPTV and locally fandom was planted like a well nurtured seed. It was a win / win for CPTV and UConn women's basketball.

This gave the team and brand exposure and late second half 90's it simply ran the floor and went national. ESPN ....

Impressive.

Still, I probably wouldn’t want to sit next to her.
