Chris Jones says that before this series the last time UConn lost a weekend series was against Texas Tech last year.

Top 1st, Smith with a leadoff single and Stock with a double off the center field wall to put 2 runners in scoring position. Casey Dana with a sac fly, 1-0 UConn. 2 walks load the bases for UConn with 2 outs, but they are stranded. Georgetown starting pitcher Willis threw 37 pitches that inning.

Chris Jones says x-rays on Austin Peterson's foot were negative, but he is not sure if Peterson will pitch on Thursday.

Best things I’ve heard all day, that’s very good news. Having Gallagher and Enzo is great if Austin has to rest a few days

Top 2nd, pitching change. UConn loads the bases on 2 hit by pitches and a Smith single with no outs, but nothing comes of it. 1-0 UConn.

Chris Jones says that Garbowski can swing the bat, but his right arm is still giving him some problems, which lessons the probability of him catching.

Top 3rd, UConn loads the bases with agains with 2 outs, everyone reaching on a hit by pitch and walks. Another Georgetown pitching change. A balk brings in a run, 2-0 UConn. Smith is hit by a pitch to load the bases again, but that's where the inning ends.

Georgetown: 94 HR YTD (through third inning today)
UConn: 69

Xavier has 86 homers through 55 games. And we thought UConn hit a fair amount of homers. Fair to say that both Xavier and Georgetown have built their teams around their offensive minded ballparks, nothing wrong with that.

Morton looked safe to me but that bunt wasn’t pushed far enough towards the mound to make that effective

Chris Jones said the same thing. Saw the replay, and I'm inclined to think Morton was safe at the plate as well, but as you say the bunt certainly needs to be better placed in that situation.
