Tend to doubt it. Maybe for a pitcher or two, but not a whole staff.
I agree that's probably not it, but this series has been strange. Nothing they have done up to this point would indicate that they were capable of crushing Peterson and doing fairly well vs Gallagher...even in a bandbox. Maybe we'll throw a no hitter tomorrow, who knows.

No, it's college baseball as we know it. Literally anything might happen. You certainly don't find perfectly played baseball in the college game.
13-13. Football, lacrosse or rugby?

I’m very proud of this team, but the last 2 games have been head scratchers.

Top 10th, UConn leaves runners on the corners.

It will be interesting to see how long Willis stays in this game, assuming it goes a few more innings.

… and makes the Big East Tourney as #4.
We will see the Hoyas again

The question is how well Georgetown hits in the Big East tourney in a more normal ballpark. Don't know if they hit like this on the road as well, but it should be interesting to see.

Both teams get to play on same field. 11-2 in homers. Unbelievable how well they have hit our pitching the last 2 days. They have all struggled. Let's turn it around today.

Hopefully Enzo and the boys come out firing on all cylinders and Georgetown comes back down to earth today after clinching their spot in the BE Tourney:

-> • As Kendall Rogers wrote yesterday, Georgetown has been one of college baseball’s great (and unexpected) turnaround stories, and the Hoyas followed up Thursday’s win against Big East power Connecticut by clinching the series with a wild 14-13 win Friday. The Huskies scored five runs in the ninth to send the game into extra innings, but Nolan Matsko delivered a walk-off RBI double in the 10th for the Hoyas. Could 16th-ranked UConn be slipping onto the bubble? The Huskies already clinched the Big East title, but they’re just 45th in the RPI and have lost four of their last seven games. They need to rebound and play well in the conference tournament to generate some momentum heading into Selection Monday. <-

No question that the Georgetown bats are a good fit for their small ballpark, they can flat out hit and hit with power. I mentioned it during the game last night, but I'm inclined to think that UConn's pitching has been thrown off its rhythm partly due to the small size of the ballpark. As mentioned before, with the various tournaments coming up, the UConn pitching staff (actually, the whole team) needs to show that they can adapt to all sorts of different types of ballparks, large and small, in addition to different styles of play. Who knows what you will see during the NCAA Tournament.

Epic background noise…

Epic background noise indeed, starts with loud music before other stuff joins in.

As Coach Penders says, it's not just the pitching that is having problems against Georgetown this weekend. Other things help add up to losing games as well.
