Maybe she wants to coach in the NBA. The Charlotte Hornets have an opening and they are interviewing Lindsay Harding so why not Dawn Staley.

Even if the job weren't filled I doubt she'd want to be handcuffed by the academic requirements that need to be met at Stanford.

Plus I doubt they'd invest more into the program than SC already is. SC is all in with giving her.what she needs to run an elite program.

I can't see Staley coaching anywhere else. She's royalty there, they have a statue of her and she made almost $4 million after bonuses this year and has her team primed to dominate for the next several years.

Kate Paye, the Associate Head Coach, has been on staff for 17 years, including 8 years in her current position. She played at Stanford, and has both her undergraduate and law degrees from the Farm. She will be the new Head Coach.

No but years ago Pat Summit was offered the men’s job at Tennessee. Needless to say she turned it down.
