pretty funny!

Their upside is limited as long as they are in the MAC. They could be a goof MAC team or they might be a middle of the road MAC team or a bad one, but that is a limitation and will always be a limitation.UMass has the potential to grow in football. We need to smush them as we have in basketball.
Chances are they'll go beyond the MAC.Their upside is limited as long as they are in the MAC. They could be a goof MAC team or they might be a middle of the road MAC team or a bad one, but that is a limitation and will always be a limitation.

I think this one will be tougher than folks think it should be.
That said, if we get the chance to hang 50+ on them we should absolutely do it. There is no reason to open the door to any program to become New England's program. New England is UCONN Country and that must always be. They want to play big boy football and run their mouth, that's fine. But, they should have to pay the price.
UMass is ultimate trap game. Our defense has the potential to be devastating and Whitmer will be an upgrade x 10. but this team has to prove itself to show it is not last years team. They can do it by being well in charge at halftime. then talk to me about Mike Glennon
Didn't UMASS hang with Michigan recently after they beat us pretty soundly? It's amazing that many of you guys see this as a close game or even a trap. Umass is making it's transition from FCS to FBS, I don't even believe that they are at their 85 scholarship limit. They have a new coach and new offense and defense, when they line up against us on August 30, most of their starters will be FCS level recruits.
We should win this easily, which is why Vegas put the spread where it is. We will crush them, trust me.
UMass leads, 36-33-2. You know 3 games under .500 for a series that lasted this long is not bad?Keep in mind that we have an all time losing record against them. I feel no particular need to crush them, nor any need to make it close. Just play the game. If it gets out of hand, it's a good time to give back ups some minutes and keep the two deep injury free.
