Nothing to defend. Maybe the players that are leaving are getting paid more money to move. I am all for capitalism!!! Also, didn't Haider come to UConn from another team last year? This is just the new era in college athletics. Kids jump from team to team. UConn will bring in other players to fill the roster spots. Rest assured, UConn will have a hockey team next year. See you at the rink.

Matthew Wood is Canadian. Can’t get NIL

Samu Salminen is Finnish. Can’t get NIL

Arsenii Sergeev is Russian. Can’t get NIL

All three left because neither they nor their NHL clubs believe this coaching staff has any idea what they are doing.

The evidence is overwhelming.

That's not true. They cannot make active money on NIL deals like posting on social media, events, signing autographs. But they can make passive money off licensing their name, image & likeness for things like video games or apparel. Which I'm pretty sure the University is doing through Athletes thread.

I don’t think so.

They just can't actively be promoting something as part of NIL, but they're still able to have NIL deals

Who said anything about NIL? I said maybe they're getting paid more money to move to another team.

Free advice - stop responding to CT Ball fan... He is either clueless or a troll...
Or both...
