This kid got stopped at a license checkpoint. With no license. And pot on him. I don't get stuff like this. I feel like I smoked several times my body weight in pot in college but when it was in my car I (a) had my license with me; (b) stopped at stop signs; and (c) generally did whatever I could do to avoid getting pulled over.
And the drive seemed to take 5 times longer than it really did, right?

The name on the rental agreement seems to be the biggest thing that UNC concerned about. The wrong name takes this from a kid doing stupid things to the potential of a booster hooking him up with a nice drive. This will be interesting to watch in the next few weeks.

If Roy does end up letting him go, no doubt Josh Pastner will make some room at Memphis and work on getting him eligible this fall to boot!

Loaded guns, fake classes, 40+ grams of weed in the car...The Carolina Way!

Dude 1.5 ounces is not a small amount...and three ways, less than .5 each? Seems like basic math is beyond people in North Carolina, apparently, as well

And how did a bunch of sub- 25 year olds (whose driver has no license) get a rental car?

Weed is one thing- a 1.5 OZ of weed is stupid to have in a car. Getting busted is one thing- having a loaded gun is just not something incombination with the weed you can overlook. I can not wait to see what type of car UNC buys him for his trouble- heck the NCAA might even pitch in.

I'l bet that they confiscated the car, so yes he will need another one to get back and forth to court. Its in the best interest of UNC that he shows up, and not get a warrant.
