the irony is that these institutions are among the most cutthroat when it comes to business. A guiding principle of Jesuits, service to others, is fine in an intellectual sense but misplaced when it comes to the real world. Yes, I'm Catholic.I suspect many Catholics, like me, have been disappointed at how little Catholic identity there is to nominally Catholic institutions such as the Catholic universities. Notre Dame is better than BC or Georgetown or Marquette in this regard, but still it is not an institution we expect to speak out for Catholic values.
