Amazingly, Maryland will be the better coached team. I think they have more experience and get a close win behind Alyssa Thomas. If she gets in foul trouble or shoots very poorly, I think the edge goes to UNC.

Neither team will play defense with UConn's energy or pass the ball like the Huskies.

I was just going to comment on Stephanie Mavunga. She's an impressive young player.

No Carolina seems much more disciplined this year. The defense has been pretty good after the first few minutes.

I like Mavunga a lot but she showed her youth by making an impressive block but then shouting something at the offensive player. I was glad to see the UNC interim coach call Mavunga aside and have a word with her right after that. Ah, the foibles of the young.
