Looking back at the 2020 recruiting class(Roach was the 4th ranked PG) and it was a pretty rough one for PGs in regards to future pros

If you ever watch Field of 68 Goodman is looking at his phone the entire show pretending he's getting secret information about all this stuff, it's hilarious.
What’s he bring to that show besides a pantload

Survival training!
Folded bottle top.

I've become a big Roach fan... Singlehandedly indicting Duke ball better than this board ever could. Pretty much exactly what that team needs, veteran guard leadership, and he's... Out. LOL

Is the way this works nowadays that some booster from Baylor approaches Roach, offers 1.5 million and he decides to enter portal and swap to Baylor?

Yep, but it's been rumored almost all year Roach wasn't coming back to Duke next year. I don't think his decision to leave Duke was influenced by Baylor offering.

It seems sketchy that the new norm is schools essentially pay a salary to players under the pretense of NIL. It is an improvement over the hidden under the table payments that used to happen. I wonder if full transparency and just allowing schools to pay players a salary and sign them to multi year deals would be better than the current false pretense of amateur athletes.

Once you have full transparency you could follow with salary caps.

This entire NIL thing seems dumb. Players aren’t getting paid based on their name, image, and likeness. Instead, they’re getting paid based on how much one particular school can or will offer. It’s not exactly NIL or even close to it.
