They shoot uncontested 3's.....they do make them.....but aint seen many of those tonight.
They are 2nd in 3-pt accuracy...but only mid-200's for 3-pt attempts/game. They aren't like 'bama where they are jacking up 3's at first chance. With our huge size advantage at the guard spots (6'4" Spencer/6'5" Newton/6'6" Castle vs 6' Smith/6'1" Jones), we should be able to limit their # of good looks from 3.

Their looks and be challenging for passes inside. Every little bit will help. If we can cause an extra turnover or two per quarter of the game, that's a 6-8 value.

If our guards are on their game, Purdue's guards are going to struggle.

Cling Kong/Samson (and whoever else we throw at him) vs Edey is probably the most important battle of tonight's game, but Castle neutralizing whoever he's guarding will be almost as important. If Purdue doesn't have it going from both inside with Edey and outside from 3 with their shooters, I don't see them pulling off the W if we play at B game or above.

Speaking of Castle, the most memorable sequence from the 'bama game (there were several) might have actually been Castle ripping down an offensive board, fighting off 3 'bama players to get free, then getting fouled driving back to the hoop. Even though he didn't make the shot (sunk the 2 FT's), at that moment I was like "Damn, the DOG inside him has been unleashed".

We don’t have to double him like other teams do. If you don’t have a 7’2” defensive menace, you have to choose between fouling, doubling or giving up 40.

The game plan should be: don’t leave shooters open and Donovan, make him take tough shots without following.

I’m not always right, to say the least, and this seemed like the obvious strategy, but you rarely see a plan executed so perfectly. 1/7 from 3 is insane.
