Hurley said on one of his podcast appearances last week that Coach Calhoun would address the team before they left.

I know he’s got a pretty bad hip. Maybe traveling at 82, as a giant man with a bad wheel just isn’t in the cards.

He was on a podcast right after we won last year (maybe pardon my take?) and talked about not traveling. Pretty sure it was health related.

Calhoun doesn’t need the aggravation of dealing with massive crowds, traffic, and travel. He will see the games more comfortably from his home tv than in person. Don’t blame him at all.

Last year he got sick at the airport before heading to the Final 4.

He was at the big east tournament this year. He is an old guy, not easy to travel cross country.

I remember last year he was at the airport for the final 4 & then disappeared at boarding time. He later said at his age you can feel sick out of nowhere.

Another year older now, he did make the trip to Boston.

It must be crazy watching this program you built from the ground up be at this level tho. It’s gotta feel surreal.
