What a day for the program

If things couldn’t be better. Aside from some bias, how great was our role as host tonight vs other CGDs this year? We came off as proud, engaged , ravenous, and fun!!!! Hurley sold himself big time today by showing he’s not a fraud. Rip hits a half court shot in 2 dukies faces. Danny hits one but not both and curses his way out if his segment . Another strident wins. Cam makes a case for poy. Tristen strengthens his. Who would not want to come here? What a free recruiting home run!!!!

Too bad we couldn't get any out of top out of state recruits in, but I'm sure that's tough/impossible during the H.S. season.

It's not just that Rip nailed the logo shot, but how it all unfolded that was super impressive and goose bump raising. Before the shot his banter with J Will about not having his UConn Jersey and making another bucket in front of the greatest fans in the world, not letting a Duke guy show him up, and THEN canning the shot with taunting from J Will (though J does interject with - what are you talking about - you always beat us hehe) is just priceless. Then after Rip calmly sinks the shot he goes on with a refrain of "Is this what we do?" followed by the ultimate "And I told you, we are the true blue blood, we are the true blue blood."



Totally surreal. Maybe Ed Cooley was right and we are just a wee bit spoiled, but there's so much goodness to eat up...and it keeps on giving in unexpected ways...
