I’m not really surprised by the outcome. WVU was able to match them athletically, which is really what has won MSU a couple of games.

Miss St is prob a 15-20 team at this point. Their rebounding is awful with no true dominant post play. Not a top 10 team.

Agreed the rebounding is bad. However the bigger concern is you still don’t see a player take control of the situation on the court. You also don’t have a group that has really separated themselves as the alpha group. Another glaring stat is the missed free throws today. While WV was near equally abysmal if MSU is going to maintain itself as an upper echelon team then they have to be able to concentrate and focus better than that. Coach Schaefer said it was going to be an up and down season. I think too many MSU fans thought it would be a simple plug and play.

This result may just be the thing that keeps the Big 12 from being a single-bid league this year.
