Here are the last sequences of the MEAC Championship

NC A&T's Winters hits game-winning 3-pointer for MEAC title - ESPN Video

As much joy it brought to see my Aggies win the championship...... my heart was breaking seeing the Howard star Warren crouching on the side of the court crying inconsolably as her teammates rush to try to comfort her. ☹️☹️☹️????? I hate that part of March. ???

Later today the final basketball game will be held in historic (1992) Millis Center on the campus of High Point University. It also marks the final Big South Championship held at on campus sites as the Conference moves both the men's and women's tourney to Charlotte next year and the Bojangles Coliseum. The Championship will be decided between a school that has never appeared in a NCAA Tourney (HPU), and one who hasn't made an appearance since 2000 as victors of the Atlantic Sun (Campbell).

So a 2pm championship matchup on a Sunday, in the South, between the Methodists (HPU) and the Baptists (Campbell) ??

VCU ends Dayton's hopes of making the tournament with a 56-50 clipping of the Flyers. They'll get to face UMass or St. Louis to see who goes a dancin'.
Arizona State played VCU back in November during the preseason. Their guard Hattix-Covington was impressive in the early going as she was four of nine from the field at 16 points, four boards and two steals in 36 minutes of play.

While she continued to get minutes throughout the season it looks like beginning and mid-December she started to come off the bench.

I was impressed with VCU's performance in their 49 to 40 loss to the Sun Devils.

Kim on what to say to Nalyssa Smith to avoid further foul trouble "tell her to stop running over people. Folks paid to come to see her play."

The Southland Championship tomorrow will pit regular-season champion Stephen F. Austin against Sam Houston State. Both teams were victorious in their respective semi-final matches today.
I was impressed with Stephen f Austin back in November in their game against the Sun Devils. First game of the season for both teams and while the Devils held Stephen f Austin to a season of 47 points their guard Stephanie Visscher was game high scorer with 16 on 7 of 11 shooting, 3 assists and 2 steals. in a solid game.

If Stephen Austin wins as expected I wonder if ASU might receive any consideration for the WNIT. Four of their 11 victories were against teams that are playing in the big dance.

Not certain if an 11 and 10 team would be considered.

After 1.... the Panthers lead the Camels 24-13. HPU has hit 6 three pointer's so far. Looks like a great atmosphere............ wish I could be there. :(

At the half..... HPU leads Campbell 38-23. The panthers have gone 8-15 from deep. Gonna be a uphill climb for the Camels as their deliberate offense doesn't lend itself to overcoming big deficits. HPU is definitely feeding off of the energy from the crowd.

Just noticed that High Point & Utah Valley have the distinction of not having a quad 1 nor quad 2 nor quad 3 win. Only quad 4. I think this earns them the #63 & #64 rankings.
