OT: UCONN with 19 steals, which team holds the record for steals in WBB?

Answer: Grambling , in 1997, with 580 steals in 30 games or 19.3 steals per game!.
Just in passing = Dawn S. is # 11 on the WBB total steals list in a career while at
the U of Virginia.

Savannah State had 44 steals vs. Wesleyan (GA) on November 6, 2018
Second best was 38 by Grambling vs. Texas College December 10, 1987. Grambling also had 36 vs. the same hapless opponent on December 1, 1997.

The highest by a current major WCBB team was 36 by Notre Dame vs. New Hampshire on November 12, 2010.

Thanks for this info. Do you know what the single game record is?

I tried to access the single game record but my internet skills were not
up to the task. I did a GOOGLE search to NCAA women's basketball and
followed the leads from there. This is a fun exercise to see the DIvision I
WBB stats from week to week, always some surprises and a " heads up"
about future opponents and voting for HOOP AWARDS. sincerely, Z
