Are the bats finding it or is simply the quality of pitching has drastically dropped off and now the lineup is “clicking”? As a fan, they found it.
Well, let’s be honest. They did hold us to no runs and 3 hits after the third inning. Schwede dominated for 5 innings.

No way to tell. Let’s see who is still putting up numbers when we play Creighton, N’eastern and Cincy.

3 hits in the last 5 innings. Our bats have shown spurtability, but not sustainability.

I understand the point ur making and those teams are a better indicator to go off. Im looking at it from an ncaa perspective and the arms they’ll encounter regardless of regions. If you move on ur gonna face some elite arms.

I think it’s fair to say that the lineup today is far different from the spring break lineup, regardless of pitching. Shpur, Dalena, Minick’s frosh struggles, Daniel’s playing hurt and ur tentative 3 hitter struggling. Combined, that’s a lot of improvement and figuring out of ur team that’s happened. I think the quality of pitching overall has probably dropped off, but I think the results would be far better if that trip were this week. Is the lineup legit though, come June…like Cooke is to the staff, Studley getting going is so important to that lineup.

Nice shout-out for Ryan Hyde.

Nice shout for Ryan Hyde indeed, also it would seem that it is possible from what Coach Penders says that it is possible that Ian Cooke may be available to pitch this weekend, but we'll see what happens with that.

Morton robs Nova of a 2 run HR! The defense is the story so far! Still 1-0 UConn

Nice lead off bunt to start top 3 for Nova. More small ball as another bunt moves the runner over to 2nd, Coe fields and gets the out at first. Next batter flies out to left, 2 down. Runner holds at 2nd. A fly out to center ends the inning. 1-0 UConn

Bottom 3. Shpur strikes out. Tammaro continues to like the home cooking and singles to left. Luke fles out to left center. 2 down. Morton pops out and it remains 1-0 good guys after 3. Uconn with a hit in every inning, but still only 1 run to show for it.

8 of 12 outs for Coe have been in the air with 3 great catches helping to keep Nova off the board. He has 3 Ks. Nova goes down in order in the 4th. Still 1-0.

Padilla starts B4 with a ground out to short. Hit it hard, but right at him. Delena flies out to left. Got underneath a bit. 2 down. Studs walks, coming back from 0-2. Malcom pops one over the deepest part of Elliot and it’s now 3-0 Huskies. Huge hit with 2 outs. Minick grounds out to 3rd. 3-0 UConn.
