Matt Peart got 24 snaps last night and a good grade from the mysterious metrics at PFF.

Want some good news on the offensive side? Matt Peart had a 71.0 overall grade in 24 total snaps and didn’t allow any pressures in 14 pass-blocking snaps. Andrew Thomas had his best pass-blocking grade (65.7) and best overall grade (64.3) of the season.

Since I never watch Jets games, except against the Patriots, I didn't realize Foley was starting at NT for them. That's fantastic, he's a terrific anchor in that aggressive Gregg Williams scheme. He played well.

Fatukasi showed very good initial push on many plays. I kind of focused on him. However, after that initial push he was stuck and had trouble disengaging or making a secondary move. That is the next hill for him to climb.

>> In last week’s win over Washington, first-round pick Andrew Thomas started at left tackle and veteran Cam Fleming was on the right side. Nick Gates played center, rookie Shane Lemieux was at left guard and veteran Kevin Zeitler was on the right side.

It appears former UConn standout Matt Peart is benefitting from this approach. By the end of the game Peart, a rookie tackle, had filled in at both left and right tackle and even backup Chad Slade got time at guard, just in case one of the starters was hurt.

The rotation is going to increase in the final seven games as starting left guard Will Hernandez came off the COVID-19 reserve list on Tuesday. It’s quite possible Lemieux who has been outstanding in filling in for Hernandez the past two games, will see time at both guard positions, while Peart, a third-round pick, also continues to rotate at the tackles.<<

>> “Confidence is a big part of it,” Colombo said. “You know, it’s a confident group right now. You know, they can see themselves doing it right on film. We talked about consistency. That was that was kind of the biggest thing this whole entire season. We needed to be more consistent. You’re starting to see it now from every player on the line, you know, so all five of them. And then, you know, add Matt to the equation. Right. These guys are consistent with their technique. They’re consistent with their execution. And that’s why you kind of see some of the stuff start to work."<<
