Are you comfortable renting a car and driving on the other side of the road? If so, I'd think about it. There are lots of places to explore on the island outside of the typical tourist stops.
If you're not at an all-inclusive, have dinner at Coco Bistro if you can get a reservation.
Rented a Villa there about 5 years ago. Beautiful Island. No recommendations but you’ll find some great places to explore and eat. Not an issue if you’re at a hotel but the cost of things there are off the charts. We cooked and grilled at the Villa quite a bit. Cost us as much as the restaurants. Driving takes some getting used to but worth it if you want to see everything.
