we played prairie view in 2012, and it was KML( 23 points). Gotta go back to the 1990s to find the co-record holder. Big Hint: she's a coach in the AAC.

It would have to be Jamelle because Shea got hurt in her first tournament game against Lehigh. If it was Jamelle, it would have been a heckuva accomplishment that lasted for many years through many UConn super freshmen.

It was Jamelle, but it was 21 points, not 23. My mistake. And last year Morgan and Moriah tied the record for the most combined points by freshman in their first tournament game, 34. They tied Jamelle(21) and Jen(13), accomplished in that same game, in 1993. I'm sure that Bob Picozzi must have mentioned it at some point.
