... but if any WCBB board can help me with this it's probably this one. I am compiling data on former #1 recruits and their success during college. I'm trying to go back as far as possible and I have hit a roadblock @ 2005. I have the list from 2006 up to 2018 but the internet fails me prior to 2006. I feel like 2005 was likely CP3. Anyone have data on who the #1 recruits were prior to 2006.

I thought 2000 senior class was Ashley Robinson at 1 and DT was #2.

I don't think Sue was #1 either. She was further down.

Chamique Holdsclaw was #1 one of those years when she came out of high school!

Your asking ranking coming out of high school, right?

Thanks! Some would put Diana ahead of ARob in 2000 and Seimone ahead of Ann in 2002.

This looks right. If memory serves me correctly Sue wasn't top10 coming out of high school. Could be wrong though. I was thinking she was lower than Cash, Jones, and Williams was #1

Thanks all. Was ESPN not doing them prior to 2006? That doesn't seem right. Maybe their site only archives the data for 10 years.

Blue Star had Sue at 19. Swin was 3 (Nina Smith, although a junior, was #2). Ashja was 6. Keirsten Walters was 14.

Thanks Wally! Now the only question I have is if there is a list that exists by ESPN for these years. I would rather use 1 list instead of hodge-podging 2 together but if it is what I must do for the sake of this spreadsheet I am making then I will. Also, can you provide the link to where you got this? I was unable to find it on their site.

I think HoopGurz which was independent of ESPN at that point is what you are looking for, but don't know if their historic rankings are still available on-line.

Are you familiar with the Internet Wayback Machine? It's not perfect but it's still pretty great. You put in a URL and pick a date that the Wayback Machine has archived. Hopefully, you can find what you need that way (it's how I dug through the Blue Star rankings :) )
