To add to what @and one posted in the Men's National Championship thread, the combined totals of the College Basketball Titles for Men and Women are (and there are only 5 schools who have won both):
1. 16 UConn 5 Men/11 Women
2. 7 North Carolina 6/1
3. 4 Stanford 1/3
3. 4 Baylor 1/3
5. 2 Maryland 1/1

If you just include the single team Championships, the top 10 are
1. 5/11 UConn
2. 11/0 UCLA
3. 0/8 Tennessee
3. 8/0 Kentucky
5. 6/1 NC
6. 5/0 Duke
6. 5/0 Indiana
8. 1/3 Stanford
8. 1/3 Baylor
8. 4/0 Kansas

So we have some significant breathing room before we have to worry about anyone. I guess the top worry would be Cori Close at UCLA as she recruits well and the Men's team has 11 titles.

Anyway, congratulations to the Men's team for getting it done! Ball's in your court Geno....

Next year ends in 4, 2024, which means both teams should win, bringing their totals to a nice ratio of 6/12.

It should be noted that in the previous years ending in 3, one of the two teams won a championship. The women did in 2003 and 2013; it just happened to be the men’s turn to keep up the mojo for 2023.

Diggerfoot, I just love reading weird new factoids like this - it's like the astrological basketball gods are keeping the cosmos in mathematical balance!! Cool beans! :)
