The Luxury of Depth

Imagine how many teams in the Big East or most all of D1 basketball would love to have Akok and Hawkins to bring in as starters when you have two regular starters go down. And then you get to bring in Samson Johnson and Diggins as their backups while still having Gaffney and Polley as regular backups.

The depth Danny has accumulated is ridiculous and so much better than we've seen in a while.

With all the sky is falling posts over the last week or so, we're in a really good place.

Sure it sucks to have the quality of Martin and Sanogo having to sit on the bench for a few weeks but knowing that we can still be uber competitive, often still having more talent than teams we will face even without them, and that the season is not lost is special.

The real test of the depth will be WVU. Beat them, bring the 2 studs back, and this team will be unquestionably top 10 at that point.

He should hire you to tell him when to do that. In fact we should fire Hurley and hire you as coach since you know how to manage the personnel on this team better than the coach. I couldnt agre more.

No reason to bag on the coach or snipe each other.
