Slight delay in the Nova-Marquette came coming back from a time out because the BE "competition committee" took the basketball. Anyone know what that's about?

The ball which was being used for the game was pulled out by the competition committee and another ball was put in to play.

I get all that but... Who is the competition committee? Are they at all conference games? Couldn't they take the referees?

I was only partially listening but I thought I heard them say that Steve Novak's son took the ball and was dribbling through the crowd. Maybe they were making light of it by calling the kid the "competition committee"? Just a guess.
