Another great PAC12 game. ASU at Washington. Huskies going for the 3way tie for first with the win. UW leads 18-13 early in second.

you being so pushy!"
Hahaha! I crack up every time I think of Eric's, "Farthest place in hell" comment re. Tennessee a couple years ago. My sentiments as well - cheers! :D

TN went to regional final last year which certainly exceeded anybody's expectation.
So no one can be sure when they have two No. 1 high school recruits on their roster.
They won the big dance one year in the 90s with 10 losses.
Let's clarify, they do not have two #1 recruits. 2013-Russell was #1, Deshield was #3; 2014 A'ja Wilson #1; 2015 KLS; 2016 Lauren Cox.

Glad to see the real Huskies with another win. I wonder if these lesser Devils will drop from the polls.

Washington gets the win over ASU 70-57. They may leap frog Oregon State and Stanford in rankings as they lost last week.

Not sure why they should drop out as a result of losing to a top-10 team on the road.

Oops.... I didnt think of it like that

I was thinking more along the fact that this was their 9th loss.... and drops them to a 3-6 record in their last 9 games.

UT is a Jeckle/ Hyde team if there ever was one.
Hardly. Bad or poorly coached teams are always notoriously inconsistent. But because of their talent no one should sleep on them if they're there in Dallas this year.

But 5 of those 6 losses were to top-15 teams, and they already took the hit for the one loss to an unranked team (lost to USC at a time when ASU was #16, and since dropped to #23).

I realize the AP voters have a tendency to drop teams even after losing to higher-ranked teams, and even if it was on the road. I've never understood the logic behind that, because such a result does nothing to show that the losing team's ranking was too high. But it's certainly possible ASU could fall out tomorrow.

It would be poetic justice if Temple, which Connecticut recently defeated by a whole bunch, were to rise to #25, while Tennessee, which refuses to play UConn, drops off the deep end!

Not saying that can't happen, but it won't be tomorrow. Texas A&M will be the team that takes Tennessee's spot in the AP top 25.

A bizarre thing happened in tonight's Washington-ASU game: Kelsey Plum did not hit a 3-pointer (she was 0 for 7). Plum had hit at least two 3-pointers in every game this season, which is pretty astounding. On the positive side, she was 13 of 20 on 2-pointers, and ended just one point shy of her season average, at 29 points. Osahor, meanwhile, was a total beast with 18 points and 18 rebounds as well as 2 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

Gary Blair. A coach who tells it straight, and who, at the same time, spends the first four minutes of his press conference defending Holly.
Overall, well-spoken, straight-forward & clear. Admirable guy. Want to hear more from him.

well i am sure he doesn't believe but coaching is strong sub fraternity they support each other

The points he made were true: He said it's impossible to have a new person take over for a legendary coach and expect the exact same results. He said that for this very reason he has studiously avoided jobs like Louisiana Tech after Barmore retired. He said the coaches that followed him at his two previous jobs both failed. He talked about what happened at UCLA post-Wooden.

I doubt Pat Summitt would win any NC in this decade with the players Holly had.

Pat would have pulled stronger 2014, 2015 and 2016 classes than Holly was able to, so it'd be a completely different team dynamic.

Very gracious comments from Gary Blair. Warlick is doing a great job, compared her to the difficulties of coaches coming after John Wooden. Talked about "seven years from now" when Shea Ralph takes over from Geno Auriemma: she will have the most difficult job in America.

Intelligent, interesting, and gracious comments from Blair.

Well if you were coaching in the SEC, wouldn't you want to coach against Warwick?
