Sherlock starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Anyone? I'm thinking this is the next series on my watch list.

I watched the first episode from 2010 last night which was pretty good. I was looking up some old history and thought this deserved its own thread.

I used to catch the old films with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce on tv when I was a kid. The films with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law are great although RDJ makes it difficult to understand much of the time.

Whew this thread really took off. I'm several episodes in, more than 1, less than 6. Each episode is 90 minutes long, 3 episodes a season, so it has the binge factor covered. The introduction of Moriarty was very clever.

It’s superb. Already watched them all. Great acting, good wring. My teen daughter even really enjoyed it.

I just finished the series and it's one of my absolute favorites. I'm surprised more people haven't chimed in on this drama. The acting and crime solving are brilliant. 4 seasons which ended in 2017 and I am dying to see season 5. I'm going to go rewatch the movies with Robert Downey Jr and then rewatch this show. Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman, Lara Pulver, Amanda Abbington, just a pleasure to follow. Check it out.

It's fun. I've watched most of them. Cumberbatch is very good.
