Purdue women's basketball needs to 'deliver better results' next season

Certain schools view specific sports to be their “flagship” and I think the Purdue AD views WCBB to be that sport for the Boilermakers and according to that logic, she should be on the hotseat. It is debatable what their new ceiling should be given the strength of other programs nationally. For example who should achieve better national ranking/success Purdue or NCheat? Not that this is a mutually exclusive proposition but neither will not be top 10 programs and even a top 20 goal is a stretch for year in year out. Making the tournament annually is a reasonable and logical expectation.

Huh? Do you mean WCBB relative to other sports at Purdue OR that Purdue should be a leader in WCBB? On the former definitely not; on the latter yes. Boilers are one of the few schools to have elite success with multiple coaches.

Balcomb was a big hire as an assistant.
