Ohio will really be a team to watch for next year. Their best player (Cece Hooks, conference DPOY) is a sophomore, and they also have the MAC FOY. Only one senior starter. Both CMU and Buffalo lose their best players.

Amani Burke’s foul trouble is a big deal. She has 4 already. Ohio has virtually no depth. Unless Buffalo cools off significantly this one is over.

Random Side note: The life of these broadcasters cant be easy on the body. Just took a peak at the MEAC Tourney Final (Mens) in Norfolk on ESPN2.... the color announcer is Corey Alexander. He did last night's Duke game for Raycom in Charlotte which ended around 11:30pm or so. Im sure he will be back in Charlotte for the final working for Raycom. I know Lachina Robinson was in Greensboro last week for the ACC.... and went to do the Big 10 championship game on Sunday. I didnt watch... but did she do any of the Big East Tourney @Plebe ?

Heartbreak in New Orleans for the 7 seeded USA Jaguars. Had a chance for the game winner... as they rebounded a UALR missed shot with about 10 seconds to go.... pushed it upcourt.... instead of driving to the basket.... they tossed it to the wing and the Jaguar player fumbled the ball... regathered it... and threw up an airball. Ball game. Hated to see the tears from the USA squad .... it would have been a remarkable accomplishment if they had advanced to the NCAAs.... but it wasnt to be. Top seed UALR returns to the NCAAs for the second consecutive year.

edit: Im not sure if the Jaguars had a timeout or not... some coaches would rather not call a time out in that situation. Looking at the roster... all of the main players return for next season.... so perhaps they will be a contender next season in the conference. They were undefeated in non-conference .. but went 9-9 in conference play.

I am pretty certain she did not do the Big East final, which I watched most of. I didn’t see any of the earlier games, but she must’ve been in Greensboro and Indianapolis on those days.

Lamar has a road win at Texas A&M And could’ve been on the bubble if they lost in the final to Stephen F Austin. But I think a loss here will put them out of contention
