Up only 4 at the half. Looking a bit ragged. they did have a nice run early in the quarter to get the lead.A St. Johns 3 with little time left made it a lot closer.

St . Johns only down 4 seems shocking , but im sure UCONN will blast the doors open come 3rd QTR. Teams like ST. Johns tend to run out of steam as the game runs down as they dont have enough offensive fire power.

I’m wondering how good some of these teams really are. St. John’s 3-0 thus far and Purdue 5-1 with their lone loss coming to St. John’s. Tulane is also 3-0 (as of right now; playing against a 4-0 Cal team). I know a lot of these records are against early and easy competition, but I’m more interested in seeing how this season plays out than seasons past. Could be a lot more parity this year in WCBB.

St. John’s is also the last unranked team to beat UConn (back in the 2011-12 season) so this should be a fun game.
