100% true. Duke's and Wake's student body is national in nature. My daughter went to Wake. Almost every class has at least one student from every state in the union. Additionally, a sizable plurality (approaching or hitting half) of Wake's student body is from the northeast corridor from just north of Boston to just south of DC. It's essentially a northeast school located in NC.
Agreed and FWIW down here in lower FF county schools like Wake, Nova (sorry its true) and Michigan have become the go to schools for kids with 1400 to 1550 SATs that cannot get into the Ivies and sub Ivies. Common thing said is that they applied to Cornell, but ended up at Wake (happily I might add).

Anyone with a HSer knows that right now getting into a top tier college is a crap shoot - resume be damned. Especially if you are from CT - most schools are trying to diversify away from suburban NYC kids.

The ACC is going to let BCU keep calling the shots because it has worked out so well so far.
