Loved him on the MTM show. Such a great actor and comedian. May he Rest in Peace. Edit: For you young ones that don't know what MTM stands for it's Mary Tyler Moore.

His credits are too long to list but enjoyed him recently as Johnny Lawrence's evil stepfather on Cobra Kai.
His catalogue of work is so wide ranging. I was surprised to learn he was a voice actor for the Boondocks cartoon series. Nothing wrong with him being part of the show, just didn't expect it. He was perfect for the Ed Wuncler role in the series.

His work spans so many generations....................................man.

Dang!! RIP, Mr. Asner. For me, it was always his fame from the Mary Tyler Moore show that caught my attention. Of course later on his voice over work was very solid. Childhood legends are making that transition.

I was a teenager when the Mary Tyler Moore Show was on. Terrific stuff, and Ed Asner was a big reason for that. After the MTM show run ended, I enjoyed Ed Asner's star turn on his spin off show Lou Grant.

My wife is a big fan of John Wayne westerns, and she got me addicted to the Howard Hawks directed "El Dorado". Great cast in that one, and Ed Asner shows up in that one as one of the main villains of that film. Another solidly enjoyable performance by Asner, I would definitely recommend people taking a look at that movie.
