A thought occurred to me, and I figured I'd ask those more knowledgeable, or at least more opinionated, than me on basketball. The NBA plays for the same seasons as mcbb (and wcbb). If the wnba played the same season as wcbb, I would most likely only find the time to watch/go to wcbb (since I'm a way bigger uconn fan than wnba, though I love the sun/wnba more every year). I like how the wnba is during the wcbb off-season.
So my question is this - how does the overlap of the nba with mcbb affect either? Are they different audiences, or do the people who watch those just sit in front of the tv all day? I just don't see how they could closely follow more than one sport (as in watch & go to games, not just follow scores & articles) that play during the same season, not with everything else going on in life (unless they're all retired haha)!
