I see us becoming the dominant university in the Northeast in all sports after rising ocean levels wipe out BC, Providence, Villanova, Georgetown and St. John's. With Miami also being consumed by the Atlantic Ocean, we finally get that long-awaited invite to the ACC.

Not necessarily. Every year since 2015 the play in games have been 11 seeds. There's been 20 play in games in this format since 2011 (not counting the 16 seed matchups) and 3 have been with 12 seeds

I can see it but don't want Rutgers....still hoping we might sneak into a 4 seed.

A Houston loss helps & also think we have an argument over Arkansas for a 4 seed....better NET, Kenpom, Arkansas no good non-conf wins, loss to Hofstra and we both beat Auburn.

It looks like maybe there's been less bids stolen than in years past maybe so less AQs that are ranked lower than the bottom at large teams. Not too sure honestly

They would absolutely not set up an intra-conference matchup in the 2nd round unless the BE has more than 8 teams in the field.

We only played them once, so it's legal by their bracketing procedures starting as early as the round of 32. We're also not protected from being seeded against conference mate by being a 5 or worse seed (the first 4 top 4 seeds from each conference are scattered, but 5s can go anywhere).

But wouldn't that still mean no Providence? We wouldn't be protected as a 5 seed but they would as a 4 seed. Not sure how that works though

If Houston and Iowa hold on, we likely drop to 3rd best 5 seed. Whether that means a change in regions at this point, don't know. But if so I'd expect to go from West to Midwest, and likely face a play-in game winner
