In the Freshman to watch thread on the General Board, I posted the scores of the ESPN list. Here I am posting the top 20 scores I gathered among 67 contenders from the top 35 teams in the weekly poll. The top 20 include both Paige and Aaliyah. I have also included the Strength of Schedule rank from Massey for consideration. For example, Sedona Prince has had a remarkable year thus far despite TCU playing a pathetic NC rank of 225. Sedona has averaged 31.2 minutes which considering she had quit basketball due to injuries last year is phenomenal. Kudos to her. Whether she can keep it up in conference play is unknown. Also, Sonia Citron, Rickea Jackson simply have not played enough games to be considered but I will add them when the games played warrant it.

I know this next line will be unpopular, but the fact is Caitlin Clark is having a remarkable year even by her standards. Her efficiency game score is 32.2 which is almost 2 points ahead of Hannah Hildago and Reagan Beers and this is against the #5 Strength of schedule. Kudos to Caitlin.

Of this 20 person list, 4 of these players have played against a pathetic roster of teams all greater than 100 (last column). Let me know your thoughts.

Interesting stuff, DefenseBB. Thank you.

I'm not sure why you feel your comment about Clark should be unpopular... for the most part, BYers have come to understand Caitlin's superior level of play.

If she maintains her pace, Hidalgo should be strongly considered for 1st team all-American. She's carrying a lot of the load for the Irish, especially with both Miles and more recently Citron on the shelf.

I understand their roles for their respective teams, yet it's still strange in this era to see Beers, Reese and Holmes all with zero three-pointers.

It’s on the General board, where it belongs . We don’t need it on both boards.
