Both the AL and NL have pitchers that are threatening to take the pitching triple crown, that is, leaders in wins, ERA, and strikeouts.

Chris Sale leads in wins and ERA and is 2nd in strikeouts.

Tarik Skubal leads in all 3 and has a decent lead in ERA and strikeouts.

Notable pitching triple crown winners include Koufax, Verlander, Kershaw, Clemens, Perdro M., Dwight Gooden and Randy Johnson. It's been done a total of 23 times since 1900.

Tarik Skubal with 18 wins that's clinched obviously.

Era 2.39, .41 ahead of 2nd, clinched.

Where he might lose the crown is strikeouts, up 228 to 223, not sure who pitches on the last day. 213 is 3rd, I'd think too far behind barring some crazy last day pitching IF he even pitches.

Chris Sale clinches wins, era likely too .19 ahead (again not sure who pitches today) but ahead by just one strikeout 225-224, two pitchers tied for second.

Pitching triple crown should be celebrated more IMO, not as "sexy" as hitting triple crown but just as much effort and skill.

Both pitchers got the pitching triple crown , this really should be celebrated more. Too bad it's not.
