Harris went down in pain after a wild shot. Groin it looked like? Appeared minor though.

Not impressed with Mompremier or the US posts. So many bricked layups.

Onyenwere is uber-athletic. I think Mir is a carbon copy.

Looked like Ty took a hip to the ovaries. She’s up and about with her team after the 3rd quarter buzzer. Looks like she’s fine...thankfully.

I feel like a few of the choices to make the team were questionable.

Why take Pulliam or Mikesell over Slocum/Sutton when the first two have mostly sat and the second two would likely have an impact? Especially for depth, a few players looked WINDED.

Argentina had a 51-47 lead with 2 ' left in Q3. Doyle (who I love) and Pivec changed the game with some tough plays and 3pt shots. Argentina's #11 guard gave use headaches in 3 x 3 still giving us headaches. IMO, Argentina played better (certainly more beautifully) and just had some tough luck with a lot of in/out misses.

Well, US wins 75-63.Columbia played better than the US in 2nd half and really outhustled the US squad. Home crowd does help.l

U.S. Pan Ams Team Tops Colombia 75-63

The U.S. Pan American Games Women’s Basketball Team raced to a 24-13 first quarter lead and never looked back en route to a 75-63 victory over Colombia.

USA most likely will play the Winner of the Canada vs Puerto Rico game that is played later tonight in the Medal Round.

Watching USA vs Puerto Rico with the Winner playing Brazil in the Gold Medal Game.

USA has brief stretches where they play outstanding Basketball. Then they have stretches of two or three minutes where they play horrible basketball and can't make a shot. Puerto Rico leading 26-24 with 3:46 minutes left in the 1st half.

USA leads at the half 33 - 30. Beatrice Mompremier of Univ of Miami (formerly Baylor) had a huge half with 14 points and 10 Rebounds. USA could easily have had a bigger lead.

USA has let Puerto Rico go on a 10-2 Run to start the 3rd Quarter. USA has no player movement on the floor and taking poor shots. USA has no life Puerto Rico 40 USA 35 with 5:30 left in 3rd quarter.

Despite the horrendous start in the 3rd Quarter, USA leads 50-46 to start the 4th Qtr. Winner plays Brazil in the Gold Medal Game. Loser plays Canada in the Bronze Medal Game.
