after Ohio State loss to Dayton in the Mens Tournament. This was one of the first games of the Mens Tournament. Have to guess the Billion Dollars will be safe and all the other prizes that are awarded for a perfect brackt. :)

Just 19.7% of 11 million ESPN Tournament Challenge brackets picked Dayton over Ohio State

With Ohio State losing twice to PSU men this year they should have been recognized as very vulnerable.

Oh ye of little faith. The ones who were smart enough to pick Dayton are clearly on a roll that will ensure they beat the 4-quintillion-to-1 odds (same as for MoJeff dunking in an NC game) and nail those perfect brackets.

After the Cincinnati loss to Harvard, only 5.7% have a perfect bracket in the ESPN Contest. That's out of 11+ million brackets submitted.

After just 4 games finished only 5.7% of the 11 million brackets in ESPN Tournament Challenge are still perfect

Well at least Wisconsin came through as the huge favorite after being down 17-10 and outscoring American 65-18 the rest of the way. Thought that kind of ratio only occurred for the Husky women.

I picked Dayton. :D\

Also picked Cincy. :(

No billion for me.

I read somewhere the odds were better for winning the lottery 3 times in a row than picking a perfect bracket. In the past 7 years only 1 person has picked a perfect 1st round. Not a bracket, a first round.

Warren's money is pretty safe. Still thought it was funny they did a tie-breaker though.

Winning that kind of money creates all kind of income tax headaches- who needs it! If anyone talks to Warren- tell him it would be nice if he finally pays the couple hundred million he owes us in back taxes!

Unless the UConn men start playing a little defense, they are going to be the next upset. Though I think there are more 10-7 upsets than any other first round games.

Now down to 3.7% with ESPN Perfect Brackets after the 8 afternoon games. Will there be any after the end of the night? Not looking good.

There are over 9 quintillion possible choices for the NCAA Men's bracket. That is over 9,000,000,000,000,000,000 to one.

So what? Just figure out the 8,999,999,999,999,999,999 ones that aren't right and nail your bracket. It's simple, and if you need more help I can assist at a reasonable rate that includes whatever treasured Husky memorabilia you have tucked away.

Explain please. I've never seen evidence that Buffett engages in any shenanigans to hide taxable income.

2,185 Perfect Brackets left after Mercer Upset Duke. That's out of 11+ million submitted. I'm surprised there's that many left :) Were they throwing darts or dice when making their picks?

1. This is three years old.
2. The article misstates the issues - much of this so-called $1B (which is a 2011 number, not a current one) is simply deferred tax liability.
3. The current amounts - still not due - are far less than $1 Billion.
4. The amount of tax eventually due is approximately 3.5% of Berkshire Hathaway's 2013 earnings.
5. The article in general is far from objective.

#10 Stanford beat #7 UNM, #11 Tennessee is up by 16 over #6 UMass. Numbers might drop even lower.

As noted those taxes are Berkshire Hathaway's and not Warren Buffet's personal taxes. As we all know corporate taxes can be incredibly complicated due to the nature of tax law, exemptions, and qualified deductions. The situation was resolved in 2012.
