Wow, sad news. A genuinely funny guy. Did see him much on Live but I loved him on Letterman

An actual nice guy. He and Letterman were magic. And Regis always came through for Dave. I just rewatched the first show back from 9/11 with Rather and Regis. There was a reason Dave had Reege on.

There's really nobody like Regis out there today.

Is that your final answer? I agree 100% with you. He was the record holder for hours on TV with close to 17,000 hours. He also made more than $20M for one season of "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire". He was the hardest worker in show biz.
